ABOUT
JONNY RANSOM
A blistering Blues-Rock guitarist with a modern Pop-sensibility, Jonny Ransom cut his musical teeth as a Southern California boy – although you might assume he rose from the depths of the Mississippi Delta. Guitarist, singer, and frontman of the Blues-Rock trio Jonny Ransom Band, Jonny Ransom grew up with an unusual love of the Blues and its shining stars such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix. He picked up the guitar at a young age and never looked back. Ransom’s appreciation for the Blues is vast and his influence extends from cross-genre superstars such as Elvis Presley, to modern Country powerhouses like Chris Stapleton. In early 2023, JRB released their cover of the Alannah Myles classic “Black Velvet” while Ransom released his haunting ballad “Right Kind of Wrong” and first solo Single. In late 2024, Ransom released his second Single with the anthemic Blues-Pop tune "Leaving Roses” followed by the catchy, hook-driven song "Firefly" in early 2025. Shortly thereafter, JRB released their reimagined cover of the Jimi Hendrix classic "Purple Haze" – out now on all streaming services. Today, one thing stands true: Ransom eats, sleeps, breathes the Blues – and it shows! Make sure to catch JRB live and online on all social media platforms!
